A teenage boy has died following a single-vehicle crash in the state’s south coast today.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Woodstock Road and Kyeena Drive, Woodstock, about 6.45am today (Sunday 14 July 2024), following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to South Coast Police District attended the scene and found a vehicle had struck a power pole.
Early enquiries have revealed the vehicle was reported stolen from an address in Sussex Inlet about 12.30am today (Sunday 14 July 2024).
The driver – a teen boy – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics but was unable to be revived.
A male teenage passenger was also treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick in a critical condition.
Police have been told two passengers left the scene before their arrival. A search is being coordinated for the missing passengers of the vehicle.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
