Burwood detectives have charged a teenager over a fatal stabbing in Concord.
About 12.30am today (Saturday 20 July 2024), emergency services were called to a home on Spring Street, Concord, following reports a man had been stabbed.
Officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command arrived to find a man – believed to be aged in his 30s – outside the property with multiple stabs wounds to his chest.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man for his injuries, but he died at the scene.
The man is yet to be formally identified.
Police established a crime scene, and detectives attached to Burwood Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident.
Following inquiries, detectives arrested a 15-year-old boy nearby.
He was taken to Burwood Police Station and charged with murder.
The boy was refused bail to appear before a children’s court tomorrow (Sunday 21 July 2024).
