Public access to Crystal Cascades will be closed from 4am on Tuesday 24 May to 5pm on Wednesday 25 May to allow for necessary valve and pipe replacement works to be undertaken.
Water supply will not be affected by the works.
The valve being replaced is a critical piece of infrastructure that controls the flow of water to Freshwater Treatment Plant and environmental flows to Freshwater Creek.
Council will also replace associated pipework and the existing flowmeter, which are ageing and showing signs of deterioration.
The replacement works will allow for better control of flows and increase efficiencies in the network.
A second two-day closure will be required from 4am on Tuesday 14 June to 5pm on Wednesday 15 June for the works to be completed.
