The following road closures will be in place on Sunday 18 September, due to the Sydney Running Festival:
- Between 4am and 11am, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Cahill Expressway will be closed in both directions
- Between 4am and 12pm, the Western Distributor between Pyrmont and Sydney CBD will be closed (including on and off-ramps)
- The Sydney Harbour Tunnel will remain open but is not to be used by oversize vehicles (>4.4m) or vehicles carrying dangerous goods
- Between 4am and 12pm, oversize & dangerous goods vehicles will be detoured via the Anzac Bridge
Detour routes
From 4am to 11am:
- Northbound vehicles should follow the existing Heavy Vehicle route by-passing the City via the Princess Hwy and Botany Rd then continue to the Harbour Bridge using Wattle St instead of Fig St
- Southbound vehicles should follow the above route in reverse then exit the Anzac Bridge at Pyrmont
Between 11am and 12pm:
- Although the Sydney Harbour Bridge will re-open at 11am, there will be no direct access between the Anzac Bridge and the Sydney Harbour Bridge until after 12pm when the Western Distributor reopens
Northbound vehicles: Citybound traffic on the Anzac Bridge will be detoured via the Bathurst St off-ramp and Kent St to access the Sydney Harbour Bridge
