Brisbane City Council wishes to advise of temporary road closures and parking changes occurring in the CBD for Anzac Day commemorations on Thursday 25 April.
The following roads will be closed from 2am to 5am for the Dawn Service in Anzac Square:
- Adelaide Street, between George Street and Wharf Street
- Ann Street, between Edward Street and Creek Street
- Edward Street, between Ann Street and Queen Street
- The following roads will be closed from 4am to 3pm for the parade:
- Adelaide Street, between George Street and Wharf Street
- Albert Street, between Adelaide Street and Mary Street
- Burnett Lane, between George Street and Albert Street (accessed from Adelaide Street)
- Charlotte Street, between George Street and Creek Street
- Creek Street, between Ann Street and Elizabeth Street
- Eagle Lane, between Queen Street and Creek Street
- Edward Street, between Ann Street and Mary Street
- Full closure of Elizabeth Street off ramp, between William Street and Creek Street
- Elizabeth Street, between William Street and Creek Street
- George Street, between Ann Street and Margaret Street
- Market Street, between Charlotte Street and Mary Street
- North Quay at the Victoria Bridge intersection
- Queen Street, between William Street and Wharf Street
- William Street, between North Quay and Stephens Lane
During this time, there will be no access to George Street from Mary Street. The inbound lane of Victoria Bridge will be closed, but the outbound lane via North Quay will be maintained.
Residents and businesses should note changes, including no access to or from off-street car parking facilities. Vehicles parked in off-street car parking facilities within the closure zone will not be able to exit between 2am to 3pm.
Parking conditions will temporarily change in the closure zone to No Standing Tow Away from 7pm Wednesday 24 April to 11.59pm Thursday 25 April. Parked vehicles within the closure zone will be towed.
