AlburyCity has announced the star-studded cast of the 2022 Albury Carols by Candlelight, being held in QEII Square on Wednesday 21 December from 6pm. This year, the talented JD Smith from The Ten Tenors will make his return to his hometown of Albury to headline the event!
JD Smith, now based in Melbourne, has been performing since he was a young kid growing up in Albury. With an indigenous background, JD grew up in a creative household with his dad being an Aboriginal artist who taught him to play the guitar.
JD Smith will be supported on the night by an array of local talent, including our very own homegrown vocalists and dancers.
The event will hosted by local legends Sharyn Bilston and Danny Phegan, with highlights including:
- Special performance from The Ten Tenors’ JD Smith
- Contemporary and traditional carols from Albury’s best performers
- Performances backed by our very talented local dance schools
- Special appearances from the jolly fella himself, Santa Claus
- Delicious dishes from a variety of food trucks on Dean Street
So grab your family and friends and join us for a magical night of all things Christmas! And if you can’t make it in person, the Carols will be livestreamed for the very first time – so you can enjoy it from the comfort of your own home.
Candles and song books will be available for purchase from Rotary on the night.
The event is proudly supported by 2AY, Albury Sound and Lighting and Rotary.
