The Hodgman Liberal Government is getting on with providing the biggest ever commitment to education infrastructure in Tasmania’s history.
Three Tasmanian schools are set to benefit from nearly $6 million in upgrades to learning environments as a result of construction projects advertised for tender today.
The construction tenders are:
- Taroona High School: Major redevelopment to provide new contemporary learning areas, support spaces and music and drama facilities.
- Port Dalrymple School: Redevelopment to provide additional general learning area, breakout space, resource and staff area and amenities.
- Mowbray Heights Primary School: Kindergarten refurbishment including additional toilets.
These capital projects will also drive economic growth and create jobs in those communities.
A total of $96 million is being invested across the forward estimates in capital works which includes new schools, school upgrades, new Early Learning Hubs and school farm redevelopments.
These projects are a part of our commitment to ensure students have access to contemporary and flexible facilities where they have the greatest opportunity to explore their passions and discover a path to their future career.
