The weather did not dampen the spirits of those braving the rain to spend the afternoon having fun and celebrating the .
Residents of all ages joined the West Kempsey Pump Track Committee to official launch the popular pump track.
Some riders propelled themselves through the air while others pedal their way around, experiencing the thrill of the track their way. Professional riders Zoe Cuthbert and Ryan Gilchrist arrived to show the crowd their world class style and praised the fantastic track we have.
A bike mechanic set up a stall for the afternoon completing major repairs on 13 bikes, giving away 7 bikes and providing information on how bike riders can share the roads safely. Attendees were provided with a free BBQ lunch and entertainment by DJ Mark Purcell.
Although the afternoon was cut short by the rain, we would like to thank everyone for joining in the celebrations.
