Otways Climate Emergency Action Network (OCEAN)
The Otways Climate Emergency Action Network’s (OCEAN’s) summer campaign to stop seismic blasting for oil and gas in the Otway Basin, off south west Victoria, kicks off this weekend.
We will be travelling the length of the Great Ocean Road visiting every town, starting at Ocean Grove on 6 January and finishing in Portland on the 27 January.
Various events will be held in each location, including film screenings, public rallies, street marches and paddle outs.
OCEAN’s objective is to alert visitors to the coast to the reality of seismic blasting and the devastating impact it is having on our marine life.
The first media event will be a massive street march in Ocean Grove and rally on the foreshore on Saturday 6 January.
