Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information after a woman’s stolen credit cards were used at various stores in Melbourne’s CBD in December.
Detectives have been told the woman’s handbag was stolen from behind a reception desk while she was at work at a building in Errol Street, North Melbourne on Thursday 8 December between 10.30 and 11.15am
A number of the woman’s credit cards were then used on tap and go terminals at various stores in Melbourne Central to steal clothing.
It is also believed the same man attended Victoria Gardens Shopping Centre and used the cards at a supermarket and take-away food store.
Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, about 180cm tall, with a medium build, has facial hair and a tattoo of what appears to be a Chinese kings face or similar on his right forearm.
He was wearing a black peaked cap, cross shoulder bag, Ellesse brand shorts and t-shirt, sunglasses and black runners.
