Getting active – top tips
- It’s not about what you look like, it’s about how you feel.
- Being active ignites different feelings for different girls and women- from feeling connected and strong, to calm, empowered or happy.
- Choose activities that make you feel good.
- Move your body to feel good. Whether it’s a walk around the block to clear your head, or nailing a new dance move, focus on the feeling. Most of us aren’t training for a marathon or training to be the best, but we can still get active when we can, and have fun while we do it.
- Mothers, grandmothers, sisters, bosses and friends: no matter what kind of woman we are, we support each other to have a go and enjoy life.
- Being active can be about fitting it in when we can, returning to it when we’ve had a break, and having fun while we do it.
