Three boys have been arrested after a crime series spanning several districts this morning.
Just before 1am, Thursday 23 November police were called to Waite Street, Blackwood after a male was seen attempting to open a window to a home. On being disturbed the suspect fled the scene.
At 1.30am, a ride share driver collected three people from Eric Street Blackwood, and drove them to Glenelg where the driver was then robbed and his vehicle stolen.
At 2.25am police were called to a service station on Port Wakefield Road, Paralowie after reports two males had entered the service station armed with a machete and demanded cigarettes from the staff member.
Thankfully the staff member was not injured.
They stole a quantity of cigarettes and were last seen running towards Burton Road.
Patrols searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
At 3.30am police attended at Birmingham Crescent, Craigmore after witnesses reported hearing people climbing the fence and the opening of a door.
Police responded quickly to the address and located three suspects in the home.
On searching the suspects police located two knives and a machete and the car keys to the stolen vehicle which was parked on the street outside the address.
On searching the stolen vehicle police located the stolen cigarettes and property belonging to the ride share driver.
A 16-year-old boy from Andrews Farm, a 12-year-old boy from Elizabeth Downs and a 16-year-old boy from Aldgate were arrested.
They have been charged a range of offences including two counts of serious criminal trespass, two counts of robbery, assaults, illegal use and breach of bail.
They have had their bail refused and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court this afternoon (Thursday 23 November).
