Three Men Charged Under Strike Force Brockamin

Detectives have charged three men after drugs and weapons were allegedly seized during search warrants in Forster earlier this week.

In May 2024, detectives attached to Manning Great Lakes Police District established Strike Force Brockamin to investigate the supply of cocaine in the Forster/Tuncurry area.

Following inquiries, about 6am, yesterday (Wednesday 27 November 2024), detectives from Manning/Great Lakes – with assistance from the Crime Prevention Unit, Proactive Crime Team and Port Stephens/Hunter Highway Patrol, executed a search warrant at a home on Pioneer Drive, Forster.

Police arrested a 21-year-old man and allegedly seized a number of drugs including cocaine and cannabis as well as a gel blaster. All items were seized for forensic examination.

He was taken to Forster Police Station and charged with possess unauthorised pistol, supply prohibited drug more than commercial quantity, possess prohibited drug and two counts and possess prescribed restricted substance.

He was refused bail and appeared before Taree Local Court yesterday, (Wednesday 27 November 2024), where he was formally refused bail to appear before Taree Local Court on Monday 10 February 2025.

Also, about 6am police executed a search warrant at a home on Becker Road, Forster.

Police arrested a 22-year-old man, where a search of the property allegedly revealed several items of interest including illicit drugs. – which were seized for forensic examination.

He was taken to Forster Police Station and charged with four counts supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail and appeared before Taree Local Court yesterday, (Wednesday 27 November 2024) and was formally refused bail to appear before Forster Local Court today Thursday 28 November 2024 where he was again refused bail to appear at Forster Local Court on Wednesday 11 December 2024

About 9.45am, police arrested a 22-year-old man in Wharf Street, Forster. A search warrant was also executed at an address in Bright Street, Forster. A number of items and a prohibited weapon were allegedly sized.

He was taken to Forster Police Station and charged with four counts supply prohibited drug less than small quantity and possess or use prohibited weapon without permit.

He was refused bail to appear before Forster Local Court today (Thursday 28 November 2024), where he was given conditional bail to appear before the same court on Wednesday 11 December 2024.
