Manjimup’s black truffles will continue to be one of the stars of the Western Australian culinary scene, with funding confirmed for the popular Truffle Kerfuffle event for the next three years.
The State Government is proud to support Truffle Kerfuffle from 2019-21 through Tourism Western Australia’s Regional Events Program.
Celebrity chef Pete Evans will be the headline chef in this year’s program, which will showcase the renowned delicacy alongside other high-quality Southern Forests produce.
Truffle Kerfuffle is a celebration and an opportunity to learn firsthand from chefs, farmers and growers.
Visitors can enjoy a range of experiences at the Festival Village including tasting truffle dishes and buying truffles along with regional produce in the Market Place, truffle dog demonstrations, cooking classes for children, and cooking demonstrations on the Festival Village stage with Anna Gare, Poh Ling Yeow, Aaron Carr and Tony Howell among others.
Event attendees can also build on their Truffle Kerfuffle experience at ticketed long table brunches and dinners, intimate cooking masterclasses, and truffle hunts with dogs at truffle farms.
Manjimup produces almost 90 per cent of black truffles grown in Australia, which is the greatest amount in the Southern Hemisphere.
Food and wine tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors of the tourism industry worldwide.
Last year’s event attracted more than 5,500 attendees, with about 32 kilograms of Manjimup truffle dished up over the three-day event.
Truffle Kerfuffle runs from June 21-23, 2019 at Fonty’s Pool in Manjimup, with tickets now on sale. For more information, visit
