Lovers of Christmas, rejoice! It’s time once again for the Credit Union Christmas Pageant… Meaning it’s socially acceptable to hang your decorations, and welcome the silly season!
Father Christmas, along with a host of more than 60 colourful floats and performing troupes, will spread seasonal cheer through Adelaide’s CBD this Saturday morning (10 November), en route to the Magic Cave.
The 86th annual Christmas Pageant will set off from South Terrace at 9.30am, winding its merry way to David Jones on North Terrace via Victoria Square (Tarntanyangga), Wakefield, Pulteney, Grenfell and King William Streets.
Police will keep a watchful eye on the Pageant to ensure that families attending have a magical morning.
Parents and caregivers are urged to speak with Police, or visit a Credit Union vehicle, to collect an ‘If I’m Lost’ wristband for their little ones. Remember to write your own contact details, but not your child’s name, on the wristbands.
Don’t forget to point out SA Police officers patrolling the pageant route, wave and say ‘Hello’ so that children in your care know who to speak to if they become lost or separated.
Take a moment to snap a picture of your child in the outfit they’re wearing before setting off for the Pageant.
Drivers braving the city can expect significant delays, as numerous road closures will be in effect from 5am.

Don’t forget to stop by the free Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) Open Day straight after the Pageant. Family-friendly post-Pageant fun kicks off at the Adelaide Fire Station (99 Wakefield Street, Adelaide) at 11.00 am, wrapping up at 2.30 pm.
