Toowoomba lawyer brings 30 years’ of experience to Slaters

Slater and Gordon has welcomed accomplished to the Queensland Personal Injuries Practice based in .

Ms Pedersen has taken on a regional leadership role and will be supporting our staff deliver legal services to our clients in Toowoomba, Ipswich, Townsville and Brisbane.

Slater and Gordon Queensland said it was a very good time for Ms Pedersen to join the ranks of the growing Queensland legal teams.

“We welcome Katrina to the Toowoomba office where she is already bringing her experience and legal expertise to the role, to support clients to receive the treatment and benefits they need to recover and move forward with their lives,” Ms Murphy said.

Ms Pedersen started her career in law almost 30 years ago, working in a small regional town as a legal stenographer and developed a desire to help people access justice and exercise their legal rights.

“I became keen to study law, so I could make a difference and put myself through university while working full time and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1999,” Ms Pedersen said.

“I have worked mainly in compensation law for more than 20 years now and could not imagine doing anything else.

“Assisting my clients to achieve a fair and just outcome during what can sometimes be a very difficult time in their lives is very rewarding.”

Ms Pedersen strives to give the best possible advice and guidance to her clients, by being honest, considerate and ensuring that they understand the legal process.

“I ensure I get to know them as people – more than just what’s happened to them, but what’s important to them,” she said.

“I recognise that each client is unique in their own way and I strive to keep them informed at all times, so they feel valued and supported at all times throughout their claim.”
