This thriving collaboration, which began 3 years ago, will continue to offer a range of educational opportunities tailored to meet the unique needs of both past and present AFL and AFLW players.
Since its inception in 2020, the partnership has seen more than 100 enrolments from AFLPA members. studied have included , , Sports, , and studies.
Melbourne Demon Alex Neal-Bullen was one of the first players to receive a Torrens University scholarship. Alex is now in his 3rd year of a and said he’s grateful for the opportunity and guidance he has received.
“I really appreciate the work-life balance while being set up for success after my footy career, and the support Torrens University has given me has been incredible,” Alex said.
Academic programs for AFLPA members
AFLPA members have access to a diverse range of academic programs, including and , as well as professional development courses, all of which are specially designed to accommodate the demanding schedules of elite athletes.
, Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Industry Partnerships at Torrens University, expressed his enthusiasm about the renewed partnership.

AFLPA CEO Paul Marsh agreed the successful collaboration spoke to the strength of the partnership and the shared values of both organisations.
“It’s been heartening to work alongside Torrens University to provide opportunities and areas for growth for our members, and I look forward to seeing those opportunities increase and develop over the next two years,” said Mr Marsh.
“We are excited to continue this journey with Torrens University as we foster the personal and professional growth of athletes beyond the football field.”
