Tourism Council WA welcomes the State Government’s proposed South Coast Marine Park, which will provide new opportunities for nature-based tourism.
Chief Executive Officer Evan Hall said the industry body supported the reservation of ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Parks and Marine Parks to protect the environment and protect ongoing visitor access, enjoyment and appreciation of WA’s natural environment.
“Tourism Council WA backs the indicative management plans’ intention of maintaining current beach and coastal access for visitors such as through camping,” Mr Hall said.
“We also support maintaining all current and future non-extractive marine tourism experiences to preserve and protect ongoing visitor access through marine tours to the marine environment.”
Tourism Council WA will confer with its members before making any final submission into the indicative management plans for the South Coast Marine Park.
