Tourism Council WA has welcomed today’s announcement from the State Government of the delivery of the Tourism Survival Grants.
The Grants will provide funding to tourism businesses which require much-needed support due to the impact of COVID-19 restrictions.
Tourism Council CEO Evan Hall said that the grants would help businesses which relied upon a high volume of inbound visitors from interstate and overseas to be sustained.
“These grants will mean that tourism businesses will be able to stay afloat during the recovery period and be able to open up or adapt their business operations,” Mr Hall said.
“Many of these businesses were not eligible for previous Government measures and this program has been well targeted in providing support to businesses in dire need.”
The Grant program aligned with Tourism Council WA’s ongoing advocacy for support for tourism businesses.
“Tourism Council WA congratulates the State Government on its support for tourism operators and the implementation of this Survival Grant Program,” Mr Hall said.
