Commencing Monday 9 May 2022, resurfacing works will be undertaken on the Macrossan Bridge, 22km east of Charters Towers. The bridge will be closed during the following times:
Night time works – full bridge closures
From 8pm to 4am Monday 9 May and Tuesday 10 May, the Macrossan Bridge will be closed to all traffic.
Day time works – single lane closures
From 7am to 4pm daily between Thursday 12 May and Wednesday 18 May single lane closures will be in place. Wide load vehicles will not be permitted to cross the bridge during these times. Please seek an alternative route.
Traffic controllers and the Queensland Police Service will be onsite while works are underway.
