Townsville youth can enjoy incredible free street circus workshops

World-renowned entertainers 360 ALLSTARS will put on free workshops for the youth of Townsville before performing their revolutionary live show at Townsville Civic Theatre on Saturday 1 July.

360 ALLSTARS boast a stellar cast of world champion and world record-holding artists and athletes and this incredible crew will host complimentary BMX flatlanding, basketball freestyling and circus workshops.

These free events will run from 10-11am at Townsville Civic Theatre ahead of the high-octane street-inspired circus action of the 360 ALLSTARS show from 7.30pm that night.

This incredible production has sold out venues across Australia and around the world and is a spectacular fusion of the extraordinary artistry that emerges from street culture.

Chair of Council’s Community and Cultural Development Committee chairperson Ann-Maree Greaney said Council was delighted to work with Onyx Productions to put on these free workshops.

“360 ALLSTARS have delighted audiences all over the world with BMX, basketball, breakdancing, beatboxing, acrobatics, drumming and more,” Cr Greaney said.

“Getting this show to our Civic Theatre is a real coup for our city and the free workshops on the same day provides an amazing opportunity for young people in Townsville.

“Council takes great pride in its commitment to supporting and provide opportunities to young individuals, empowering them to discover new skills, become valued members of our community, and actively participate in meaningful interactions with their peers.”

Participants in the workshops must be eight years or older and always accompanied by a parent or guardian, with attendees to bring their own basketball or BMX bike and their own sunscreen, hat and water.
