A man has been arrested on traffic and drug offences in Woodville North.
At 9.45pm on Thursday 23 April, police from the State Tactical Response Group stopped a Holden Commodore on Audley Avenue in Woodville North in relation to defective brake lights.
The occupant of the vehicle, a 22-year-old Seaton man, was asked several times to get out of the car but repeatedly refused.
Officers gained entry to the car and arrested the man for failing to comply with police. A search of the car located a large bag of cocaine.
Search of the man’s house yielded more cocaine (bringing the total to nearly 300 grams), an amount of cash and several items of drug paraphernalia.
The man was further arrested for trafficking in a commercial quantity of a controlled drug. His vehicle was impounded and he was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrate’s Court on 22 October.
