The 2022-23 NSW Half-Yearly Review is set to be released on Tuesday, 7 February 2023.
Treasurer Matt Kean said the NSW economy remains strong with unemployment at record lows and business confidence continuing to be positive.
“The government is focused on rolling out the transformational programs funded in the 2022-23 Budget and I look forward to providing a budget update on this progress along with the latest economic projections,” Mr Kean said.
Mr Kean said the update would be delivered in February 2023 in accordance with the Government Sector Finance Act to help minimise variations between the Half-Yearly Review and the Pre-election Budget Update.
“We are implementing ambitious programs to boost women’s economic opportunities, enhance early childhood education, assist first home buyers, improve our economic and environmental sustainability and bolster the resilience of our health system,” Mr Kean said.
“We will also continue to support our communities respond and recover from natural disasters including the current flood situation, and invest a record amount in infrastructure over the next four years while continuing to target a return to surplus in 2024-25.”
