Police have arrested three men after a car jacking in Essendon this afternoon.
It is alleged a black BMW was rammed by a white Nissan on Rose Street about 12.30pm.
Investigators have been told while expecting the damage to her BMW, the female victim was assaulted by a male offender before he stole the BMW.
A second male offender followed the stolen BMW in the Nissan.
The Nissan was dumped in a side street and the two offenders left in the stolen BMW.
The Nissan was later located in a street in Glenroy and also found to be stolen.
They have driven to a shopping centre car-park in Broadmeadows before being picked up in a Volkswagen Golf driven by an accomplice at the shopping centre.
Police quickly intercepted the car in Glenroy Road, Glenroy and arrested three men without incident.
The victim, a 29-year-old Essendon woman was uninjured.
A 17-year-old Glenroy youth, a 20-year-old Glenroy man and an 18-year-old Queensland man are currently in custody and are expected to be charged in relation to the incident.
