A man has died after his truck left the road and hit a power pole at Kurrajong Heights this afternoon.
Police have been told the truck was travelling east on Bells Line of Road about 2.30pm (Tuesday 8 January 2019), when the driver steered into Baileys Lane and hit a retaining wall and power pole.
The driver, believed to be aged in his late 20s, sustained critical head injuries and died at the scene. His passenger was checked by paramedics but escaped serious injury.
Traffic on Bells Line of Road was not impacted.
Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command are now inquiring into the cause of the crash; the truck has been impounded for further examination.
