Turbocharged Litchfield ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Park: Tender Released for Design of New Litchfield Campsites

Newcampsites in Litchfield ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Park are one step closer with the TerritoryLabor Government releasing a tender for design work as part of its LitchfieldCentral Valley development.

The$17.5 million project, which includes$11.3 million of Turbocharging Tourism funding, willopen up new camping and swimming spots in Litchfield enhancing visitorexperiences and creating local jobs.

Thetender includes the design of new campgrounds, picnic areas, car parking andviewing platforms, all located by new swimming spots.

Itfollows the tender award for Stage 1 works which will see 18km of unsealed roadand tracks suitable for 4WD vehicles constructed by local firm AldebaranContracting Pty Ltd, with work starting next month.

Oncecompleted, Stage 2 works will get underway, including construction of walkingtracks and 4WD access to the campground sites.
