Twelve new First Year Constables welcomed, Logan District

The Logan District has welcomed twelve new officers as they begin their careers with the Queensland Police Service (QPS) as First Year Constables (FYC).

The FYCs received their orientation on Monday and are part of a cohort of 53 recruits who were inducted into the QPS at the Oxley academy last Thursday.

Officer in Charge of Crestmead Station Senior Sergeant Warren Parker (pictured far right) welcomed three of the new officers who all happen to originate from the United Kingdom, including Constable Chris Bartley (pictured far left) who spent 15 years as a Commando with the Royal Marines.

The twelve join nine other FYCs allocated to the Gold Coast District in bolstering the South Eastern Region by 21 new officers. The new FYCs will be initially deployed to the following areas:

Crestmead Station; 3

Beaudesert Station; 1

Loganholme Station; 1

Browns Plains Station; 2

Jimboomba Station; 2

Gold Coast District

Nerang Station; 2

Surfers Paradise; 1

Coomera Station; 2

Southport Station; 2
