Whether it’s taking in live music from new local act The Time Pilots, or enjoying a leisurely wander through the beautiful Mildura Arts Centre (MAC) gallery, this month’s Twilight is the perfect way to round out the working week.

To be held on Friday 15 November from 5pm on the MAC lawns, Twilight is your free monthly wind-down event and the ideal way to enjoy the warmer spring/summer nights while indulging in the arts.

November’s feature act, The Time Pilots, is a newly-formed local band which will perform a selection of classic rock and pop songs, taking in everything from the 1960s through to modern day.

Twilight is also perfect for families, with entertainment on offer in the MAC foyer for children.

Platters, snacks and drinks will be available from the MAC café/bar, while there will be meal options from Verdict Catering.

Sunraysia Mallee Ethnic Communities Council has also embraced Twilight, featuring the Afghan Youth Dessert Girls, who will sell desserts and offer henna painting.

Councillor for Arts and Culture Jason Modica said Twilight filled a unique niche for Sunraysia residents.

“Twilight can be so many things to so many different people in our community,” Cr Modica said.

“For young people, it can be the perfect event to enjoy some live entertainment, a little finger food and a quiet drink before moving on.

“For families it can simply be a great way to spend a night out with free live entertainment, great food and drink, with activities for the kids and you’re still home at a respectable hour.

“It’s a very versatile format that has been put together by the team at MAC, and it’s a formula that works, with hundreds of people now enjoying this fantastic monthly event.”

The MAC gallery and Rio Vista Historic House are both open during Twilight events.

There is no BYO food or drink, however residents are more than welcome to bring along their own chair or picnic rug.
