Market stalls, food, music and kids’ activities will be on hand as Camden’s first Twilight Christmas Markets takes centre stage at Larkin Place this month.
The Markets will see Christmas takeover in Camden for one evening of great fun on Thursday 15 December, 5-9pm.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said the markets were set to bring even more Christmas cheer to the area.
“Loving Christmas is easy, and Council is committed to providing its community with opportunities to have fun, embrace the season and get together with family and friends,” Cr Fedeli said.
“Our Christmas festivities kicked off with thousands in attendance at Camden Christmas Festival followed by Oran Park Christmas Concert most recently, and the Twilight Christmas Markets will continue to spread Christmas joy for all of us.
“You will be able to get your hands on a range of gift options created by local artists and much more in our beautiful Larkin Place in Camden.
“I encourage the community to get into the festive spirit with us and join us for a fun evening.”
Council has also partnered with Macarthur Salvos Christmas Appeal and is asking residents to dig deep and buy toys, non-perishable grocery items or donate money to help those in need this Christmas.
The annual Mayor’s Christmas Giving Appeal is now open with items to be accepted until Friday 16 December. Residents can drop off gifts at Christmas trees located at Camden, Narellan and Oran Park Libraries, as well as Camden Civic Centre. Non-perishable grocery items and new toys for children aged up to 17 years that are unwrapped will only be accepted.
