Major Drug Squad detectives yesterday arrested three men and seized large quantities of cash, heroin, methylamphetamine and ketamine as part of a four-month investigation into drug trafficking in Melbourne’s south.
Three search warrants were executed at residential addresses in Noble Park and Keysborough (2).
A 29-year-old Noble Park man was charged with two counts of traffick large commercial quantity drug of dependence (heroin and methylamphetamine), traffick commercial quantity (ketamine), possess proceeds of crime and weapons offences.
He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 29 July.
A 26-year-old Noble Park man was charged with possess psilocybin.
He was bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 3 July.
A 29-year-old Keysborough man was released pending further enquiries.
A commercial quantity of white powder, believed to be ketamine, six one-kilogram packages of what is believed to be methylamphetamine, 27 packages (approximately nine kilograms) of what is believed to be heroin, multiple quantities of varying drugs of dependence in personal use quantities, a quantity of psilocybin (magic mushrooms), and at least $100,000 cash were seized from the Noble Park address.
Approximately $30,000 cash, multiple quantities of varying drugs of dependence in personal use quantities and drug packaging and paraphernalia were seized from the Keysborough addresses.
Investigators will allege those involved were trafficking drugs throughout Melbourne’s south.
