Gladstone detectives have charged two men following investigations into a number of alleged firearm offences in South Gladstone earlier this week.
Around 4pm on Monday, May 27, officers from Gladstone Police were at an address in Agnes Street, South Gladstone, where they allegedly located several drug utensils, and quantities of gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB) and methylamphetamine.
Several firearms, including a handgun, rifle, homemade firearm, a knife, several rounds of ammunition, and a number of alleged stolen registration plates were also located.
A 32-year-old Barney Point man was charged with two counts of stealing and one count each of unlawful possession of a weapon, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing explosives, possessing utensils and wilful damage.
A 25-year-old South Gladstone was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon and one count each of possessing explosives, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils, driving unlicensed and possession of suspected stolen property.
Both men have been remanded in custody and are expected to reappear at Gladstone Magistrates Court on June 25.
