Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of two people in Rye this morning.
Police have been told an altercation occurred between a group of people at a Parson Street address shortly after 4am.
On police arrival, a man and woman were located with gunshot wounds.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services to revive the pair, they were declared deceased at the scene.
It’s believed a second man fled the scene.
At this early stage in the investigation, it’s believed the parties were known to each.
A crime scene has been established while detectives investigate to determine what occurred.
