Two drivers were arrested after a police pursuit from Monarto South to Mount Barker this morning.
About 5.50am on Sunday 25 November, police tried to pull over a speeding car on the South Eastern Freeway at Monarto South.
The white Holden sedan initially stopped and the driver and passenger changed positions before it took off again, heading towards Adelaide.
At 6am, police successfully spiked all four tyres as the vehicle entered Mount Barker. The car came to a stop in Morphett Street, Mount Barker and the two occupants were arrested.
A 19-year-old Glandore woman was charged with driving unlicensed and a 21-year-old man from Pennington was charged with drive dangerously to avoid police and breaching his Learner’s Permit.
They were bailed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on 4 February.
The car was towed from the scene.
