Two more charged in Strike Force Paulwood investigation in Southern Highlands

Two additional people have been charged following investigations into an alleged drug supply operation in the state’s Southern Highlands.

In December 2019, Strike Force Paulwood was established by officers from The Hume Police District to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Southern Highlands area.

Following extensive investigations, on Tuesday 10 March 2020, strike force officers arrested four men and two women over their alleged involvement in the supply of ‘ice’ throughout the region.

An additional two men were arrested yesterday (Wednesday 11 March 2020).

At 11.20am, officers attached to The Hume Police District arrested a 21-year-old man at a home on Anembo Street, Moss Vale.

Shortly after, at 12.30pm, police attended a home on Toongoon Road in Burradoo, and after a short physical struggle, arrested a second man, aged 49.

Both men were taken to Southern Highlands Police Station.

The 21-year-old man was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug and participate criminal group.

He was refused bail to appear at Goulburn Local Court today (Thursday 12 March 2020).

The 49-year-old man was charged with three counts of knowingly take part in supply prohibited drug, participate in criminal group, and resist officer in execution of duty.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Moss Vale Local Court on Tuesday 7 April 2020.
