Two Sigma announced today the appointment of Kenny Lam as Head of the Asia Pacific (APAC) region and Chief Executive Officer of the company’s Hong Kong entity, Two Sigma Asia Pacific, Limited, effective upon regulatory approval. Mr. Lam brings a diverse set of career experiences that will help Two Sigma continue to expand its activities within the region.
David Siegel, Co-Chairman of Two Sigma said, “APAC has long been a focus for Two Sigma due to the region’s appreciation for and innovation in technology and data science. There is much we can learn from and contribute to APAC as we continue to seek new partners in this dynamic region. Kenny will help Two Sigma realize this opportunity by applying his experience to our broad range of activities, from investment management and insurance to securities, private investments and venture capital.”
Two Sigma has a long and positive history working across APAC, with offices in Hong Kong and Tokyo, and plans to expand its office in Shanghai at some point in 2019. Mr. Lam will work with a strong and growing team across these three offices and explore new business ventures in the region.

Mr. Lam has a track record of helping businesses grow across APAC. He previously served as Group President of Noah Holdings Limited (NYSE: NOAH), a leading wealth and asset management service provider in China. In this role, he oversaw all of Noah’s operations and strategic initiatives.
Prior to Noah, Mr. Lam served as a Global Senior Partner at McKinsey & Co. based in Hong Kong, and he worked at the law firm Shearman & Sterling in both New York and Hong Kong. He received his law degree from Oxford University and a B.S. in finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
Mr. Lam will be based in Hong Kong and starts with the company on April 8, 2019.
