Two teenagers will appear in court after allegedly damaging a police vehicle in Sydney’s south west.
About 8:25pm yesterday (Friday 22 November 2024), two teenage boys allegedly approached a marked police vehicle parked outside Liverpool Police Station on George Street.
The teenagers allegedly spray-painted graffiti on the vehicle, before running from the scene.
A short time later, officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command located the two teenagers on Campbell Street.
Following a short foot pursuit, police arrested a 16-year-old boy on Campbell Street.
When officers attempted to arrested the 15-year-old boy he allegedly assaulted and bit a police officer before being arrested.
The teenagers were taken to Liverpool Police Station, and the 16-year-old was charged with destroy or damage property and possess graffiti implement with intent to contravene.
The 15-year-old was charged with hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty, assault police officer in execution of duty without aggravated bodily harm, possess graffiti implement with intent to contravene, destroy or damage property and possess housebreaking implements.
Both were refused bail to appear before a Childrens Court today (Saturday 23 November 2024).
