In an Australian exclusive, international DJ and social media star Dom Whiting, aka DJ on a Bike, is bringing his hugely popular Drum and Bass bike ride to the streets of Darwin on Saturday, 4 May 2024.

Tourism NT, in collaboration with Activate Darwin, is spearheading the exciting free event as part of a marketing campaign to attract international working holiday makers to the Territory, along with treating locals to a memorable and inclusive event.

Thousands of music lovers and culture enthusiasts globally have already taken part in Dom’s upbeat rides , with millions watching his live streams from across the world. He began the rides during UK lockdowns and his infectious energy soon took off across towns and cities across the UK and Europe.

Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade, Acting CEO, Scott Lovett said Darwin is a fantastic, unique and vibrant place to work and play, so having an equally vibrant event with a hugely appealing influencer like Dom is a great win.

“Better still, Darwin is the only place in Australia where people can see Dom and participate in this fun, public event. It proves that we really are different in every sense.”

DJ Dom Whiting said since starting DNB on the Bike in 2021 he has been to plenty of places in the UK and Europe, as well as Dubai, but has never taken it across the other side world and is excited to visit Darwin.

“I’ve heard the Northern Territory is where the fun happens in Australia, so I can’t wait to get out there and get amongst it. We’re going to ride around the city and then finish down at the Waterfront, and I invite everyone to join in and come for a ride, a run, or a dance with us!”

The ride starts at 4pm at the Esplanade and ends around 5.30pm with a live-music party at the Darwin Waterfront Precinct.
