The , adopted by the Secretary General in 2019, provides the foundation for sustainable and transformative progress on disability inclusion through all pillars of the work of the United Nations: peace and security, human rights, and development.
The Strategy enables the UN system to support the implementation of the and other international human rights instruments, as well as the achievement of the , the and the .
Following the , UN Human Rights now reports on its performance under the UNDIS to the Human Rights Council.
Building on the third report, our Office worked to improve its performance under the UNDIS entity-based accountability framework. As reported in 2023, UN Human Rights made progress on one out of the 15 applicable indicators:
