Unique business opportunity at dubbo regional airport

Dubbo Regional Airport invites local and regional businesses in the Orana or Far Western regions to register an expression of interest to showcase their products in the terminal in Dubbo, exposing their business to thousands of local travellers and visitors each month.

“The former landside café is no longer being used for café purposes, therefore we want to offer this space to local and regional businesses for the next 18 months to showcase the high standard of products available in our region,” Dubbo Regional Airport Manager, Jacki Parish.

Dubbo Regional Airport is not requesting a fee for this area and ideally are looking for high quality new or existing businesses to utilise the space as a pop-up shop.

The Dubbo Regional Airport welcomes and farewells a broad section of people, with a high volume of foot traffic combined with high dwell times. This provides businesses with great exposure and the opportunity to connect with new customers.

Over the past 12 months passenger numbers have been steadily increasing for Dubbo Regional Airport, with figures recently reaching their highest level since the decline associated with the Covid-19 pandemic.

“This is a really unique opportunity and something that we haven’t done before at the Dubbo Regional Airport.”

“We are looking for businesses with a local or regional connection that provide a high standard of products that showcase the rich and vibrant community we live in to both local travellers and visitors,” Ms Parish said.

The pop-up space would be utilised on a rotational basis so different businesses can showcase their products in the space for a minimum of four weeks and up to 16 weeks with hours by negotiation.

Dubbo Regional Airport provides direct return services between Dubbo and Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Broken Hill, Bourke, Walgett and Lightning Ridge, The airport is serviced by Regional Express, Qantaslink, Link Airways and Air Link. The Dubbo Regional Airport has approximately 200,000 passengers through the terminal annually.
