A crime scene has been declared following an unlawful wounding incident in Plainland this morning.
Police and emergency services were called to a Bushman Street property shortly before 6am to reports of a firearm being discharged.
Initial investigations indicate a 31-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body.
The offender is believed to have fled shortly before police arrived.
A 31-year-old man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
Anyone with information that could assist investigations, including any CCTV or dashcam footage in the area at the time, is urged to contact police.
