An 18-year-old woman is in police custody after the alleged stabbing of a man in Surfers Paradise in the early hours of this morning.
It is alleged around 4am a 30-year-old man and his male friend were walking through the Cavill Street Mall when a confrontation took place between them and a group of females.
During the altercation the 30-year-old man received a number of puncture wounds to his torso area.
He was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with serious injuries.
Investigations are continuing.
