Calling all young writers! Swan Hill Regional Library is inviting individuals aged 18-25 to showcase their skills through the Aspiring Writers Award, designed to inspire and celebrate creativity.
Libraries Manager, Camille Cullinan said this year’s theme challenged participants to explore and envision a more equitable world through their writing.
“The theme this year is “Stories That Change – What Does a World with Equal Opportunities Look Like?”
“We cannot wait to see what our young writers come up with,” Ms Cullinan said.
Ms Cullinan said that the competition was part of the Youth Arts Festival and it was set to highlight the power of storytelling and creativity within our community.
“Entrants are asked to submit a narrative piece of no more than 1000 words by Friday, September 20th.
“Two prizes are up for grabs: $300 for the Winning Story and $100 for the People’s Choice Award.
“Don’t miss this opportunity to make your voice heard and contribute to a world of equal opportunities through your storytelling,” Ms Cullinan said.
