Territory businesses can now grow their export capabilities and enter into new and existing export markets, with the release of new Global Trade Scheme Grants today.
The Global Trade Scheme is designed to align with the current economic climate and the needs of industry and will provide targeted support to help Territory businesses overcome export hurdles and drive sustainable growth.
It is important that the Territory continues to diversify and create added value to the goods and services exported from the Territory.
The Global Trade Scheme is also a key action under the International Engagement Strategy 2022-2026.
The grant program is divided into three streams, each offering different levels of support depending where the business is at in its export journey.
Each stream is based on a 50:50 co-contribution basis:
Stream 1
Grants of up to $3,000 to assist businesses to become export ready.
Stream 2
Grants of up to $10,000 to assist export-ready capable Territory companies to grow existing and enter new export markets.
Stream 3
Grants of up to $50,000 to assist export-capable Territory companies to grow existing and entre new export markets through a cluster or industry association project.
Grants are now open and will remain open all year round or until grant funding is exhausted.
The new Global Trade Scheme replaces the previous Trade support scheme.
