Update 1: Suspicious disappearance investigation in Fitzgibbon, QLD

Detectives investigating the suspicious disappearance of 54-year-old Brett Orme have released more vision of his vehicle in the hope members of the public might have information to assist police.

Mr Orme was last seen in his white 2012 Nissan Navara with Queensland registration 354WAN at an Odense Street address in Fitzgibbon on August 11.

He contacted family on Sunday, August 13, and investigations have revealed that he was at Iron Bark Gully in Samford at 12:40pm on that same day but has not been seen or heard from since.

The white Nissan Navara was located by police last Friday, August 19, at the Tinchi Tamba Wetlands in Bald Hills, and the vehicle has since been seized by investigators.

The vision released by investigators today shows this vehicle captured on CCTV heading eastbound on Patricks Road in Arana Hills at 2.12pm on Sunday, August 13.

Officers will return to Iron Bark Gully from midday today with pamphlets containing a photo of the missing man to hand out and a kiosk set up for information from the public.

A kiosk will also be set up in similar fashion tomorrow, August 27, at the Tinchi Tamba Wetlands in Bald Hills (Deep Water Bend).

Detectives continue to appeal for anyone who may have seen Brett or the white Nissan Navara with Queensland registration 354WAN between August 11 and August 19 in the Greater Brisbane area to come forward.

Investigators are also particularly interested in any dashcam of the vehicle between these times.

Brett is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 180 centimetres tall, with short brown hair and blue eyes.

He is believed to be wearing a high-visibility trade polo shirt.

Investigations are ongoing.
