Three men have been charged after a police officer was seriously injured overnight in Brisbane’s south.
Just after midnight, a vehicle was approached by officers in Inala when it allegedly drove away at speed.
An officer attempting to deploy a tyre deflation device was struck by the vehicle and suffered serious leg injuries.
Three men were taken into custody a short time later.
A 44-year-old Ipswich man has been charged with one count of attempted murder, three counts of possession of dangerous drugs, one count of possession of property suspected of being the proceeds of a drug offence and one count of driving without a licence.
A 46-year-old Toowoomba man has been charged with four counts of possession of dangerous drugs and one count each of unlawful possession of restricted drugs and possession of property suspected of being the proceeds of a drug offence.
A 47-year-old Cotswold man has been charged with three counts of possession of dangerous drugs.
All three men are due to appear in Richlands Magistrates Court on Monday.
