Homicide Squad detectives have located the body of a deceased man as part of the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of 68-year-old Raymond Smith.
Mr Smith was last seen in Greenbushes about 5:00pm on Thursday 7 December 2023.
As part of the ongoing investigation, the body of man was located on the outskirts of Greenbushes and it has since been confirmed the deceased is Mr Smith.
Mr Smith’s family have been advised of the discovery, and a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause Mr Smith’s death.
The investigation is ongoing, and detectives would like to hear from anyone with information regarding the movements of Mr Smith between when he was last seen on Thursday 7 December 2023 and when he was reported missing on Monday 18 December 2023.
