A man and a woman have been charged with attempted murder after a man sustained a gunshot wound at a Margate residence yesterday morning.
It will be alleged a man and woman attended an address on McCulloch avenue around 11.15am and became involved in an altercation with a 25-year-old male resident known to them.
It is further alleged the pair demanded property before the man produced a firearm and shot the resident in the chest.
The man and woman then allegedly fled the scene in a vehicle.
The victim was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
Police arrested a man and a woman a short time later after intercepting a vehicle.
A 29-year-old Deception Bay man has been charged with attempted murder, armed robbery in company with wounding, enter dwelling with intent whilst armed, unlawful possession of weapons, possess shortened firearms, authority required to possess explosives, possession of dangerous drugs and two counts of common assault.
A 19-year-old Deception Bay woman has been charged with attempted murder, armed robbery in company with wounding, enter dwelling with intent whilst armed and two counts of common assault.
Both are due to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court today (February 4).
