Police investigating a woman injured at Warrawong this morning have established she was not stabbed.
About 2.30am (Tuesday 1 January 2019), a 27-year-old woman was with a group of people on Kully Way, when she became involved in an altercation in the street.
Police have been told the argument turned physical and the woman sustained a laceration.
The woman left the scene and attended a home in Lake Heights where she was taken to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.
Detectives from Lake Illawarra Police District established a crime scene following inquiries, police established the woman’s injury was sustained as a result of misadventure.
No further police action is required.
