Urgent correction to yesterday’s news story

Letter to the editor:

Yesterday’s announcement regarding the partnership between the Northern Territory Government and Dolly’s Dream to provide Territory schools with a new program to combat bullying and cyber-bullying did not properly cover a very important part.

We are thrilled to see that the Northern Territory Government will contribute $160,000, and it’s important to know that Dolly’s Dream contributed $80,000 towards the Dolly’s Dream eSmart cyber safety program. The Alannah & Madeline Foundation and the National Centre Against Bullying are proudly standing alongside Tick and Kate Everett, founders of Dolly’s Dream, to bring this program to grade 6 students in Northern Territory schools.

This money was raised by thousands of wonderful people around the Australia who work together to support Kate and Tick’s vision to raise awareness and education about the devastating effects of bullying and cyber bullying.

Dolly’s Dream is an anti-bullying initiative supported by national children’s charity, the Alannah & Madeline Foundation. The Foundation is proud to support the Everetts and Dolly’s Dream, and we continue to work together to reduce bullying and cyberbullying.

Yours sincerely,

Lesley Podesta
