Police have arrested five juveniles relating to multiple alleged offences across Townsville in the early hours of December 9, involving multiple stolen vehicles.
Initial investigations indicate around 1am, an allegedly stolen Ford Everest was observed by police at a patrol station on Clay Street, Bohle, before the car started driving at the police vehicle.
The Ford was allegedly driven at the police vehicle multiple times at low speed, before leaving the scene.
The two officers were not hurt during the incident.
Around half an hour later, on Montgomery Street, West End, another police vehicle was allegedly hit by the same Ford Everest.
No one was in the police vehicle at the time.
Around the same time, an allegedly stolen Ford Ranger and stolen Toyota Prado were involved in a ramraid at a supermarket on Main Street, Burdell.
Twenty minutes later, two shops were ramraided on Bayswater Road, Mount Louisa, by what is believed to be the same two cars.
A few minutes after that, another shop on Raynesford Road, Mount Louisa was also allegedly rammed by an unknown vehicle.
Around 2am, three people have arrived in the Toyota Prado on Tully Street, South Townsville, where they allegedly robbed two women and took personal items.
The females received non-life threatening injuries from the incident.
Just after 3am, a group of people have allegedly stolen a Kia Cerato from a property in West End.
Minutes later, the allegedly stolen Ford Ranger is alleged to have rammed a third police vehicle on Sturt Street, Hyde Park.
The officer was not injured during this incident.
Two of the vehicles, the Ford Ranger and Toyota Prado, have been recovered as a result of the helicopter deployment and five juveniles (aged 15 and 16-years-old) are in custody.
Investigations are ongoing into all the incidents from overnight, which are believed to be linked.
